New twist in fabled Ateneo-DLSU rivalry (Nick Giongco)

The fabled cagers of La Salle and Ateneo are going at it one more time this Sunday.

For a change, however, there’ll be no major title at stake nor a final four or semifinals slot to fight for when the Green Archers and the Blue Eagles troop to the court at the Araneta Coliseum.

"It’s going to be a benefit game," said former Cabinet secretary Philip Juico, an avid La Salle alumnus.

The encounter is dubbed as "Basketball Game for Truth."

Archers head coach Franz Pumaren, who is also busy training the national youth team, bared that it won’t exactly be a strict La Salle versus Ateneo match-up since the two teams will lend out six players each to play alongside rival dribblers.

"We will be sending six players to Ateneo in exchange for six of their players," said Pumaren, who will be back next season to defend the UAAP crown.

Norman Black, who calls the shots for Ateneo, has already been informed about the game and is also looking forward to the game at the Big Dome.

"We will be mixing Ateneo and La Salle players on both sides and we are ready to play," said Black, who holds regular practices with the Eagles "all year round" to make sure the team doesn’t miss a single beat.

"The lineup hasn’t been finalized yet," added Black, who will be back to holler out instructions from the bench.

Last year, the two schools battled it out five times in the run-up to the finals that went down in league history as the most intense head-to-head clash ever with the gate attendance of each game leaving sports officials grinning from ear-to-ear.

Ayka's 18th Bday

celebrated her bday last night at their house in alabang.(feb. 23)


i was with chabs, erika & cha. :)

SCIENVB Field Trip

daming nangyari.

nakita namin sa museum ang mga fetus ng bata at mga hayop.

umiyak si joie dahil natatakot siyang bumaba dun sa maputik na trail. nakakatakot nga naman kasi talaga.

sumakit lalo ang binti ko dahil sa hiking.

di kami nakaligo. marumi kaming umuwi!

nasira yung aircon nung bus nung pauwi na kami. kaya parusa, ang init!

Gela's Adventures and Misadventures

i'm really tired. had a very exciting/fun/tiring day.

okay so let me tell you what happened to MY day.

went to school for 8 o'clock class, which is PERSEF. i was alone in the 5th row. and i was the only one on the 4th column. gawd! yeah, i felt lonely. duh!

break. quite long break. went to sj and stayed at the usual spot with ayka, joie, bern & chabs. we were happily eating when we saw someone. that someone is.. never mind! gave us that look AGAIN! so ok fine.. then i asked bern to go with me to z2, i need to buy water. we were there and we saw HIM. he glanced at us for a while then went to look at a different direction. i was talking to bern about something. when we went back to sj, bern told me that HE looked at me from head to toe. when she told me that, i found it quite insulting. i mean, who wouldn't. i was pissed, honestly. i didn't find it really cool or something. enough!

went back to andrew for my NTROPSY class. our prof announced those who passed the quiz. i passed the quiz! yey! really happy because i passed, i thought that i was going to fail it. whew! that was a close one.

after our NTROPSY class, me and ayka went to ust. i have a 6 hour break. wth! saw a lot of people in hs like *** and ******. ayka, kilala mo na si ******. siya yung nakasalamin na payat! saw also one person that ruined(?), well not really ruined but whatever. anyway. waited for a ride for like 10 mins. the longest 10 mins of my life. went to trinoma.

went around for a while and bought some stuff. we were in a real hurry because i need to get back to la salle before 6:30. i still have a class up to 8:30! rode the mrt up to edsa taft station.  ayka got off at ayala station. the guy in q. ave station gave me the wrong ticket, so i went to the counter and gave the teller(?) a peso so that i can get out of the station. then went to lrt station, rode at edsa taft station and got off at vito cruz.

i saw some people. then i went straight to sports com. cara was there. then i "opened up" to her about some stuff. not really a serious one. really funny and crazy 'open up" happened. then she told me that she can feel that it would happen. Armageddon! apocalypse! whatever that is. kami na lang makakaalam.

had our p.e class. we danced. cha-cha, swing and i dunno the other one. t'was really fun and tiring.

i updated my blog because i need to tell other people about it. because i want to.


saw this one the whole day. checkered. black and white. its haunting me!!!

Random Stuff

i had my informative speech earlier for speecom. which went fine, i guess. i was never really good at speaking. well, at least i tried my best.

i was REALLY, REALLY nervous and i never "connected' with the audience. sigh. it's fine. (yes! i'm comforting myself.) but i was never frustrated with what happened because i know that i'm not really good at speeches. i have the tendency to stutter and forget things when i'm front.

mrs. purpura gave me good and bad comments, which i took positively. she said that it was very obvious that i was nervous and i never connected with the audience. she also said that my speech was very informative and she learned a lot about it, but it would have been better if  i was able to "convince" them to go to that place. okay. so maybe next time it would be easier for. i hope so.

i didn't attend my TREDONE class. (religion/theology class) people would only report and it's soooooooooooo boring. stayed at sj with ayka and bern. they also didn't attend TREDONE. we cut class to make the long story short.

we saw arvic and moujeck and they told us that most of our classmates didn't also attend TREDONE.


saw somebody for 6(six) times! and galore! ayka&bern, you know what i mean right?


i am bored that's why i updated my blog.


i still have to do my PERSEF homework. and it's about LOVE! ahck!

Para tayong gumawa ng fan fic!!!

Sino nga ba si EDGAR?

Ano bang alam mo sa kanya/sa kanilang dalawa ng gf nya???


Ganito kasi yan...Si Edgar...Houseboy namin siya dati. Tumagal siya sa amin ng 7 years hanggang sa pinaalis siya ng Mama ko. Paano ba naman, gumamit ng chlorox sa de-color habang naglalaba. Yan tuloy, nagbatik-batik yung tshirt ko. Parang kuya ko na si Edgar. Magaling siyang maglinis ng bahay, lalo na sa pag-abot ng mga agiw sa kisame kasi nga, matangkad siya. Ok rin siyang driver. All-in-one ika nga, hanggang sa nangyari yung aksidente sa paglalaba. Syempre, nalungkot din ako kasi medyo matagal na siya sa amin. May times din na imbis na siya yung gigising ng maaga, siya yung pinaka-late. Ang dahilan niya - pagod sa training. Eto pa, Sundays lang dapat yung day-off niya, pero dahil sa training niya, nabawas pati Saturday. Pero okay lang kay Mama, naiintindihan niya.

Ano pa ba?... Siguro may tatlong Christmas na kasa-kasama namin siyang mangaroling. Siya yung dancer ng grupo. hehe. Minsan din, siya pinapagawa ko ng homework ko. ü

Instant basketball buddy din si Edgar. In siya sa mga bagay-bagay. Ayaw niyang iniiwan siyang mag-isa sa bahay. Narinig ko siya one time na kausap sila Mama, "Mam, Sir, sama na lang po ako sa inyo sa mall.."

Syempre, pumayag na sila Mama. Isa pa, siya yung taga-bitbit ng mga pinamili after mag-grocery. Siya rin yung nagtutulak ng pushcart pag nagg-grocery. Mabait siya. Hindi mareklamo. Never akong nakarinig ng problema sa kanya. Ni hindi nga ako aware kung may lovelife siya o wala eh. Basta ang alam ko, ako lang yung nagsh-share sa kanya. In short, makapal ang mukha ko. Kilala niya ko by heart. Hehe.. Pinapayuhan niya ako sa lovelife ko. Hehe..

Pag nakikita ko siya ngayon sa La Salle, naaalala ko lahat ng good times namin. Grabe, ang sikat na niya ngayon.

Parang dati lang, ang dami kong inuutos sa kanya. Tulad na lang pag hapon, pag gutom ako, uutusan ko siyang pumunta sa bakery para ibili ako ng tinapay. Nagb-bike siya papunta dun. Eto pa, pag wala na kaming tubig, magb-bike ulit siya para maghanap ng tubig kasi ang sistema ng tubig sa village namin, delivery. Edi kailangan niyang ikutin via bike yung village para hanapin yung truck ng tubig.

Hindi ko nga alam kung paano siya nakapasok ng La Salle - siguro may scholarship siya.

Malinisin rin si "Kuya" sa katawan. Masasabi kong siya yung nakakaubos ng supply ng tubig namin. Pano ba naman, 3-4 times siyang naliligo sa isang araw. Grabe siya.

Actually, ang tawag sa kanya ng buong household, "Kuya Jan". May mga times na maririnig mo ako, "Kuya Jaaaaan!!! Laro tayo ng basketball!!!" Agad-agad naman siyang dadating bitbit yung bola. Mahilig ring manuod ng TV si Kuya Jan. Gusto niya ng reality TV shows. Actually, sa kanya ako nahawa. Mahilig rin siyang makinig ng RnB music. ang lakas niya kayang magpatugtog sa sala. Nakakawindang, promise! Mabilis rin siyang magdrive. Nung Grade 6 ako, muntik na akong ma-late for school. Nung nakita niya akong alalang-alala na, sabay pinaharurot niya yung kotse. Grabe ilang minuto lang, nasa school na ako. Ang galing. Savior na rin siya.ü

Sa buong bahay ko, si Kuya Jan na ang "the best" houseboy/yayo na nakilala ko. Minsan nga naiisip ko, parang gusto ko siyang i-hire ulit, pero feeling ko masyado na siyang  umasenso sa basketball career niya. Hindi na niya kailangang magtrabaho pa!

Kung nagtataka kayo kung paano namin siya naging houseboy, ganito ulit yun... Isang araw kumatok siya sa gate namin. May nakasabit kasing sign sa gate namin na; "Wanted: Houseboy" Siguro nakita niya yun kaya agad siyang nag-apply. May bitbit pa nga siyang sako nun. Yun yata yung nilagyan niya ng mga damit niya. Ang kwento niya sa parents ko, naglayas daw siya. Medyo uncomfortable pa nga nung una kasi siya yung pinakamatangkad sa bahay. Tuwing kakausapin niya kami, kailangan naming tumingala. Hindi naman masyadong mahirap yun. Wala lang, nanibago lang talaga. Hehe..

Vain rin pala si Kuya Jan. Lagi kong nakikitang nakaharap sa salamin yun. Siguro akala ng lahat, ngayon lang nagpakalbo si Kuya Jan. Tuwing summer, nagpapakalbo yun eh, kasi nga daw, mainit. Kaya mas masarap siyang batuk-batukan eh. Hehe..

Isa pang proof na vain siya, lagi siyang sumasama sa mga "kodakan session" ng pamilya. Marami kaming pictures sa bahay. Naka-album lahat yun. Parang naging parte talaga ng pamilya si Kuya Jan. Hindi ko siya makakalimutan. Hehe

Wanna know what happened to my day

went to mcdo taft to meet up with cara to celebrate her birthday. post bday celebration. then we went to glorietta. watched 27 dresses. after that we went to powerbooks greenbelt and saw this really funny book, i'm going to buy it. cara told me she really hates PAULO COELHO, NICHOLAS SPARKS & MEG CABOT! i was shocked! then on our way back to glorietta, we went a look around in landmark to look for something. hmm. then went back to glorietta, we were talking about TOSS.

cara: if we see him, i'm going to laugh really hard. and you're really meant for each other!

went around in glorietta for like an hour looking for something. then we went to park square to buy a cover for a book. went back to glorietta. and on our way to to landmark i saw RICO MAIERHOFER. he was with with his girlfriend. he was happily eating his dairy queen ice cream.

went back to greenbelt, cara was on the look for TOSS because she was really making fun of me! she didn't find him. then we stayed at cafe bola. we waited for her friends. i ordered my dinner first becuase i need to go home by 7. i couldn't eat because everybody there still doesn't have their orders. went home at around 7:30. went to landmark and waited for a taxi for 45 minutes. there was a really, really long line! they couldn't fetch me there so i have no choice but to take a cab. almost wailed there because there's no friggin' cab. then hallelujah a cab came, after 45 minutes. the driver was really nice. and i got home safely, before 9.
